The Don and Nancy Kelley Family will be honored as Family of the Year
Each year, Alvis honors a family whose efforts have positively impacted our community. The award recognizes a family’s collective leadership in serving the community through philanthropy and volunteerism as well as their commitment to helping families and children. We are thrilled to annouce the Don and Nancy Kelley Family is our 2018 Family of the Year.
Don and Nancy Kelley have been steadfast in their commitment to Columbus for more than half a century and family is at the heart of all their activities. Don and Nancy Kelley have seven children, 26 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Every member of the Don and Nancy Kelley family has been involved in giving back to the community. One example is their son, Terry Kelley, who founded the Serenity Street Foundation in 1996 and serves as President today. The Serenity Street Foundation’s mission is to help men recover from alcohol and drug addiction.
The Family of the Year award will be presented to the Don and Nancy Kelley Family at Alvis’ Fifth Annual Evening of Light event on April 6, 2018. Proceeds from Evening of Light benefit the Alvis Family and Children’s Program.
