Children who have a parent involved with the criminal justice system are 5x more likely than their peers to go to prison.
These kids deserve a chance for a better future with a better start to the school year. Our back to school campaign provides new backpacks and school supplies for the children of Alvis clients. You can help. Find out more here.
We are pleased to announce that, at Amethyst’s Portraits of Recovery Event, the 2018 Purple Heart Award will be presented to Rita and David Cohen. Since 1993 the Cohens have quietly, yet persistently, helped empower the women of Amethyst to live in sobriety, believe in their strengths, and pursue their lifelong goals. The Cohens’ compassionate dedication to serving others, mostly families and children, has touched thousands of lives in our region. Learn more about the Portraits of Recovery Event here.
On August 29, Alvis and the Easton Community Foundation will host a Big Table discussion. The topic that will be discussed is the "Opioid and Homeless Crisis - What Can We Do?" The Big Table discussion will be held at the Funny Bone in Easton.
Happy 34-year anniversary to our President and CEO, Denise M. Robinson. Denise's commitment and service to Alvis and our community is greatly appreciated!
